Books I Love.. :)

When I was a kid, my dad always brought me to bookstore on the week-end and the most event I've been waited every year was Book Fair @ Istora Senayan... so cute, isn't it? My childhood favorite writer was Enid Blyton, she's a truly genius. I read almost every book she wrote from from Famous Five (you must be remember the soundtrack of these series...Julian, Dick, Anna, George and Timmy..) to St Clare's Series (O'Sullivan's Twins). Loves all her books...She was my inspiring writer ever! Then come my teenagers decade.. I love Zara Zetira , Hilman, Gola Gong, etc.. I also collected every books they wrote..Since my junior high school, my dream was became a writer. But only for my personal collections. Tried to send my writing to a magazine several times but it's always sent back to me with few messages that my writing wasn't good enough to be published in magazine..(the only thing had been published was my "Surat Pembaca"..hahahaha..Thanks to Gadis Magazine..:) ever since I'd got a lot of penpal all over Indonesia....

Up until now, I still loves to read books in my spare time...My favorite writer now are Sophie Kinsella, Hellen Fielding, Candace Bushnell, and JK Rowlings and I'm also a big fan of Dewi Lestari and Fira Basuki..:)

Here the list of books I recommend to read:

I love Bridget Jones's Diary. The Hellen Fielding's idea to write in a form of person's diary's way was very freshening. The story is about an ordinary single woman in her thirties with average career in Local TV who had huge crush with her boss, Daniel Cleaver. But finally in love with Mark Darcy, a lawyer, a son of her parent's friend. The story is totally hilarious, I really love the novel cause it is setting in London ( since I Love London very much). I bought the 1st book in Flea Market @ Charing Cross London (for only 2 pounds) and the 2nd one (the edge of reason) in a real bookstore WH Smith..hahaha I was very excited when it was adapted into a movies especially when it was starring all by my favorite movie stars: Renee, Hugh Grant and Collin Firth. Still wondering, where's Hellen Fielding right now.. Can't wait another Bridget Jones's Diary!

My another favorite writer is Madeleine Wickham (aka Sophie Kinsella) I Love all the books she wrote. I have all the "Shopaholic Series" and her other book such as "Undomestic Goddes", Remember Me, etc. She never fails in making us laugh through reading her novel. It's a really must read novel! It also adapted to movies starring by Isla Fisher. Sophie Kinsella just released new novel: Twenties Girl, has not come in paper back in Indonesia.. Her novel under Madeilene Wickham name are also good such as Cocktails for three, sleeping arrangement..Can't wait for her upcoming Shopaholic series this year " Mini Shopaholic...":)

This novel is about 3 best friends New Yorkers, Emmy, Adriana and Leigh, who are facing the horror of turning 30 and made a pact to get Harry Winston ring around their finger. Although this novel was voted as 1st Worst Book in 2008 by entertainment weekly, I still feel this book is entertained enough as The Devils wear Prada (also write by Lauren Weisberger). Although I still prefer a british writer than an American one...:). If u love this book, you must be also love her other novel: Everyone worth knowing...

So..which one do you choose to read?

I Love Your Smell

I'm not a Perfume Lover, almost never bought it by myself. I remember my first perfume was Color by Benetton, shared it with my sister, it's a gift from my parents. And my college year perfume was a red jeans from Versace (gift from my friend). Never wear the perfume until the last drop cause I don't want to be identified by one fragrant only. I Love to wear different kinds of fragrant depend on my mood everyday. I spray it whenever I need to lift my mood up. That's why I have choices of perfumes to wear everyday (mostly a gift, Lucky me!) Too Feminine from Aigner. Really love this smell, It has a very sweet smell and I feel really feminine whenever I wear it. I choose this smell for evening or for work day when I want to feel like a lady... Starlight from Aigner The strong smell made me feeling very powerful. I spray this whenever I want to feel stronger to face the day (meeting with customer or credit committee...:) J'adore from Dior Whenever I need an elegant fe...

Holiday is Coming to Town

courtesy of www.landscapeindonesia.com Holiday is coming to town. Irvin had graduated from PlayGroup, Adrian got 5th place in his class (proud of you, son) and today I will attend Annual Performance at Adrian's school. The Kids will enjoy their almost 4 weeks holiday. And still, I have got no plan to spend the holiday. Emergency plan, we will send the kids to their grandparents at Cirebon for a week while me and my Super Ex Boyfriend will arrange another plan :) Actually, I never had plan any trip in my holiday. Since we both work and to match our annual leaves is a little bit hassle and the holiday always come in June or December (of course) where office is on busy mode achieving target. So our holiday would be on Idul Fitri holiday and New Year Holiday. We never go to somewhere distant, only Cirebon (where my in-laws live) or Bandung (where my parents live) or casual runaway to Bogor or Hotel Kristal - a nearby hotel at Pondok Indah.. hahaha. See our casual destination is really...
