When I was a kid, my dad always brought me to bookstore on the week-end and the most event I've been waited every year was Book Fair @ Istora Senayan... so cute, isn't it? My childhood favorite writer was Enid Blyton, she's a truly genius. I read almost every book she wrote from from Famous Five (you must be remember the soundtrack of these series...Julian, Dick, Anna, George and Timmy..) to St Clare's Series (O'Sullivan's Twins). Loves all her books...She was my inspiring writer ever! Then come my teenagers decade.. I love Zara Zetira , Hilman, Gola Gong, etc.. I also collected every books they wrote..Since my junior high school, my dream was became a writer. But only for my personal collections. Tried to send my writing to a magazine several times but it's always sent back to me with few messages that my writing wasn't good enough to be published in magazine..(the only thing had been published was my "Surat Pembaca"..hahahaha..Thanks to Gadis Magazine..:) ever since I'd got a lot of penpal all over Indonesia....
Up until now, I still loves to read books in my spare time...My favorite writer now are Sophie Kinsella, Hellen Fielding, Candace Bushnell, and JK Rowlings and I'm also a big fan of Dewi Lestari and Fira Basuki..:)
Here the list of books I recommend to read:
I love Bridget Jones's Diary. The Hellen Fielding's idea to write in a form of person's diary's way was very freshening. The story is about an ordinary single woman in her thirties with average career in Local TV who had huge crush with her boss, Daniel Cleaver. But finally in love with Mark Darcy, a lawyer, a son of her parent's friend. The story is totally hilarious, I really love the novel cause it is setting in London ( since I Love London very much). I bought the 1st book in Flea Market @ Charing Cross London (for only 2 pounds) and the 2nd one (the edge of reason) in a real bookstore WH Smith..hahaha I was very excited when it was adapted into a movies especially when it was starring all by my favorite movie stars: Renee, Hugh Grant and Collin Firth. Still wondering, where's Hellen Fielding right now.. Can't wait another Bridget Jones's Diary!
